why do people hate on tito so much? he seems like an intelligent & fair guy. if there is a bad guy its dana. and as much as i respect wanderlei…he seems to wipe danas ass.
Dana has a valid point about there being no serious injuries or deaths in the UFC in the last 15 years. Most other sports have at least several serious injuries a year such as football or boxing, and they’re shown on network television. No one questions that.
Welcome to Thunderdome? Hardly. MMA is a legitimate sport and people need to realize that fact. These are some of the most intelligent and well-conditioned athletes on the planet and they work very hard to make a living competing in a sanctioned, legitimate sport. There are rules in MMA so that people do not get seriously hurt or die. This is pure competition and the respect the fighters have for each other is something we all could learn from.
elitexc is banking on the spectacle while dana would promote the sport and that is why the ufc is the biggest promotion in mma. poseurs like toto ortiz should sign with the wwe…spectacle in its purest form.
To be fair, there has been one person killed in sanctioned MMA competition, Sam Vasquez, and two others killed in MMA fights outside the US.
